1UP Fam, following up on our player profile of former 1UP academy player and current CF Montreal midfielder Victor Loturi, history was made last week as he was the first 1UP academy baller to play against Lionel Messi, creating the first 1UP x Messi connection!
On Wednesday, May 28, CF Montreal took on Inter Miami CF at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Former 1UP academy player Victor Loturi logged a full 90 minutes and scored a header in the 92nd minute in CF Montreal’s 4-2 loss to Inter Miami.
Loturi has featured in 19 games for CF Montreal this MLS season and has become a routine starter in their midfield.

This week’s objective: Players will gain the ability to score goals from situations outside the box, with the two most important “inside of the foot” finishing techniques, both in a “dead-ball” situation and with a moving ball.
Coaching Points:
Whips (Attempting to create side-spin and curve on the ball!)
Hips Facing Corner Flag
Contact Cheek of ball, with inside (toes up)
Close hips sharply during contact
Big follow through
