Recapping 1UP United's End to the Season
1UP Fam, our 1UP men’s team had a disappointing end to the season. Spending most of the season in first place, 1UP United lost four out of the their last five games of the season and finished third in the Premier Division with a 11-4-3 record.
1UP United’s interim manager Anthony Garmory, commented on 1UP United’s end to the season,
“It was disappointing given the position we were in, but losing key players through suspension and injury meant it was always going to be difficult,” Garmory said.
“I think we maybe got in our own heads, and it became a mental battle with ourselves,” Garmory said when asked about where he think the season went wrong.
“This then led to us not making the right decisions on the pitch consistently and we stopped playing in the style that we’d found success with,” he added.
“After speaking to Graham and seeing the progress from where the team were last season, it’s definitely positive signs we are going in the right direction.”
