We are beyond excited to congratulate 1UP coach Annalise Cicoria on her commitment to NCAA Division I school Texas Tech University to play soccer.
Coach Annalise began her journey with 1UP at age 11, training in the academy until age 14. This past summer at age 16, Annalise joined the 1UP coaching staff as a grassroots coach and quickly progressed into an advanced program coach. She just wrapped up a title-winning season with the Calgary Wild U23s (Alberta Premier League), scoring four goals in nine games, has trained with the Calgary Wild first team, and has been selected for Canada's Women's under-16 and under-17 national teams.

"Committing to Texas Tech lets me keep developing in a high-performance environment while staying on top of my academics โ truly the best of both worlds. I'm excited to play with and against incredible players for head coach Tom Stone, who's put his belief in me, and I can't wait to prove him right. Coaching with 1UP has made me a better player too โ having to really understand the concepts I learned young, and being given the chance to train with players years older than me, pushed my development so much. I'm beyond grateful to 1UP for that."

On Saturday, August 1st, 1UP coaches Niko Myroniuk (1UP Director of Player Development) and Eryk Kobza (Advanced Program Coach) suited up for Cavalry FC's 5-0 win over Inter Toronto at Spruce Meadows. Kobza started and played 73 minutes, recording an assist, while Myroniuk was subbed on in the 66th minute. Their next match was August 8th โ stay tuned next week to see how your 1UP coaches performed.

Alec Wells is a current player at 1UP Soccer and coach. He is currently studying Journalism at St. Thomas University in Fredricton, New Brunswick. Alec always brings and incredible enthusiasm and willingness to learn, which makes him a joy to be around and a very intellectual individual.
