1UP fam, as our indoor 2025-26 season starts this Wednesday, let’s take some time to recap the 2025 OUTDOOR season!
1UP’s outdoor 2025 season lasted from May 5th, 2025 to October 30th, 2025. We can confirm 1UP Soccer trained 1,997 different players this summer!

Vision and Awareness!
This week’s objective:
Players will gain the ability to affectively scan and play while receiving the ball, recognizing space, defenders and teammates. The ultimate objective is to be able to have plan A and plan B before ball is received.
Coaching Points:
Double movement to shake defender
Demand ball
See space in front
Technique of Shoulder Check
Side on body shape “check shoulder not back”
Length of check - “take a picture not video”
Timing of Shoulder Check - For short pass, before the pass is made
Check too early? Picture behind can change
Check too late? Technique fails
Body shape
Facing desired direction
Facing away from desired direction (disguised)
