As we know, 1UP's social media motion is crazy... but this took it to a new level! 🤯
In their downtime of coaching and running 1UP, two 1UP OGs were in the news recently with 1UP Director of Player Development Niko Myroniuk landing on the front page of the Calgary Sun, and 1UP's CEO & Founder Graham Fisher also making an appearance in the Calgary Herald.
It's a good reminder of just how embedded 1UP is in the future of soccer in this city. Graham sat down with the Calgary Herald to talk through Parks Foundation Calgary's newly unveiled renderings for a mini soccer pitch coming to the downtown West End, sharing his take on how small-sided pickup football builds the technical foundation the next generation of Calgary players will need.

Niko Myroniuk
On Saturday, August 15, 1UP coach Niko Myroniuk (1UP Director of Player Development) suited up for Cavalry FC's 2-1 win over rivals Forge FC at Spruce Meadows. Niko was subbed on in the 72nd minute and played a crucial role in the win, providing the pass in the buildup to Cavalry's game winner in the 83rd minute!
With the win, the Cavalry passed Forge and climbed to first in the Canadian Premier League table! 😎
