1UP Mini Beginners(18 months - 30 months) - PARENT INVOLVEMENT MANDATORY

Our Method
Mini 1uppers is designed to give young players a fun, safe, and confidence-building first soccer experience. Our sessions blend movement exploration, early physical literacy, and playful with-ball and without-ball activities to build coordination, balance, and comfort on the field. With age-appropriate equipment, clear routines, and supportive coaching, children develop essential skills like running, jumping, dribbling, kicking, and navigating space—all before formal technique is introduced. Each session follows a consistent structure but adapts to player engagement, ensuring every child feels encouraged, included, and excited to learn.
Sessions Structure
Each session follows a predictable, age-appropriate flow to help young players feel comfortable and engaged. Although we have an idea of timings on sessions, it’s important to note our Mini 1uppers sessions will be based off engagement of the players, we may spend longer or shorter on an activity depending on this.
Session Flow:
Free Movement: Warm-up exploration with simple equipment to build comfort and independence.
Movement Games: Playful coordination activities (running, balancing, colours, obstacles).
Ball Discovery: Beginner-friendly dribbling, rolling, tapping, and chasing games.
Adventure Challenges: Imaginative treasure hunts, pirate games, and target kicking.
Mini Matches: Quick, non-competitive play to build teamwork and confidence.
Celebration: High-fives, team cheer, and a fun finish to every session.
Parent Involvement
While working with players as young as 18 months old, 1UP is committed to offering a fun, safe and overall positive experience to all players involved in our Mini 1Uppers program. In order to do this efficiently we ask that parents remain in attendance for all Mini sessions. Please see below for program specifics:
1UP Mini Beginners (18 months - 30 months): Parents are incorporated into the session and are required to attend sessions along side side your mini baller - please come in athletic clothing and be prepared to participate!

These sessions are tailor made to ensure engagement and fun for all our Mini 1UPpers. We are really excited to have parent/player sessions for our Mini Beginners (18 month-2 years old), this means it is mandatory for Parents to join in with sessions alongside their mini baller, so please arrive in correct clothing. We then move into our Next Level Minis(2.5-3 years old) where they have more independent learning, but it is still mandatory for parents to remain at the sessions.
